About Jean

I have been a practicing therapist for many years, working in a variety of settings in long and short-term therapy, the charity sector and private practice. My initial 10-year career in media was interrupted for a long break to raise children.

I integrate existential, phenomenological, and  psychoanalytic ideas into my work. What this means to me is that I see each individual as unique and multifaceted, without reference to categories or labels. I see therapy as a deepening conversation, exploring here and now possibilities for coping and for improving lives through the considered experience of a life crisis, problem, or confusion, with an awareness of past experiences that may still resonate within us.
